Araya’s Tomasz Maciej Rutkowski at IEEE EMBC 2026, Toronto — Two Invited Talks and Best Student Paper Award Committee Duty
Araya Research Team Lead Dr. Tomasz M. Rutkowski is taking part in IEEE EMBC 2026, one of the world’s leading conferences in biomedical and health engineering, held in Toronto, Canada. During the conference, Dr. Rutkowski gives two invited talks and serves on the Best Student Paper Award committee. In addition, two papers/posters led by students on his team are presented at the conference.
Invited talk — Pre-Conference Workshop “Neurotechnology in Action” (Sunday, July 26)

Invited talk — Mini-Symposium on EEG-Based BCIs for Cognitive Assessment and Neurorehabilitation (Tuesday, July 28, 11:30–13:00)
“Harnessing Passive Brain–Computer Interfaces for Real-Time Cognitive Assessment and Clinical Screening.” Alongside internationally recognized experts, Dr. Rutkowski discusses recent advances in EEG-based cognitive assessment, early detection of cognitive impairment, and machine learning for clinical screening.
Best Student Paper Award Committee
Dr. Rutkowski also serves on the jury for the Best Student Paper Award at IEEE EMBC 2026.
